Important Dates

Monday, May 1st, 2023: Last day to register before the Primary Election

Tuesday, May 9th, 2023: Last day to apply to vote by mail (but don’t wait until the last minute!)

Tuesday May 16th, 2023: ELECTION DAY

Information for General Election - Tues. November 8th, 2022

Vote in person on Election Day:  First-time voters from your current address must bring identification (driver’s license, passport, voter registration card, current bank statement/utility bill) to the polls. If your name is not in the binder or the supplemental list, you have the right to vote by provisional ballot.

Vote by mail: The deadline to apply to vote by mail was November 1st. If you applied to vote by mail and didn’t receive your ballot, lost your ballot, or need a replacement and still want to vote by mail, do so at City Hall, Room 140.

If voting by mail, ballots must be received by 8pm on Election Day, Nov. 8th. Submit your ballot in one of 2 ways: 1) at Room 140 in City Hall; or 2) in a drop box at City Hall (South Broad apron), Markward Playground at 800 S. Taney St., or other locations listed at vote.phila.gov. At this point, it is too late to put your ballot in the mail.

If you applied to vote by mail, and instead decide to vote in person on Election Day: 1) You must bring your entire mail-in ballot packet (ballot, secrecy envelope, declaration envelope) to your polling place, the Judge of Elections will “spoil” your ballot, and you can vote on a voting machine. 2) If you don’t receive your mail-in ballot or don’t bring the packet, vote in person at your polling place using a provisional ballot.

Political action: If you would like to get involved politically, either in our neighborhood or in the collar counties with our Beyond the 30th volunteer activities, please contact us via email at 30thwardphila@gmail.com or call/text Ward Leader Jon Adler at 609-706-6033.
